Are you looking for activities and programs to help your child gain skills in handwriting, fine motor skills, pier interaction and self-esteem?  The Children’s Therapy Center, Inc. is offering additional summer programs to help your child learn new skills and maintain their skills over the summer in order to prepare him/her for the next school year. 

 

  

Handwriting Program

 

The handwriting program offered at The Children’s Therapy Center, Inc. will focus on the foundations of handwriting skills including fine motor skills, visual-motor skills, visual perceptual skills, and basic instruction. Buddy Club

 

The Children’s Therapy Center, Inc. will be hosting a buddy club offering the opportunity to interact with piers.  Attendance at club meetings is not covered by insurance.  Meetings will be held on Tuesdays for six weeks.

 

Interactive Metronome

 

Who can benefit? Individuals with motor planning and sequencing problems, speech and language delays, motor and sensory disorders, learning deficits, and various cognitive and physical difficulties may benefit from the IM program. Adult and pediatric patients who have benefited from IM include those with: Sensory Integration Disorder, Asperger Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy.

 

Picky Eaters

 

We will be exploring and making new foods to taste, improving oral motor skills, and interest in eating! Most of all, we will be enjoying mealtime, which is the first step towards eating a variety of foods!
