Feeding Therapy

TCTCI offers feeding therapy to address both oral-sensory issues and motor impairments that can impact feeding. Our therapists are trained in using the Sequential-Oral-Sensory (SOS) therapy approach to feeding developed by Dr. Kay Toomey, Pediatric Psychologist. The goal of the SOS feeding approach is to increase familiarity and build tolerance of novel foods in a fun and interactive way, while expanding the child’s food repertoire. This SOS approach incorporates a systematic desensitization approach while the child moves up the sequential major steps to eating.

TCTCI Staff are also trained in oral motor skills and have taken advance courses to efficiently target the oral motor skills of your child. We make feeding fun and we use noninvasive approaches to help your child find the “joy” in eating.

We also offer feeding groups “Food Explorers” that allows opportunities for food exploration and
