Dr. Sue
About Dr. Sue: I am the owner and fearless leader of TCTCI team! I have been providing pediatric therapy services to children and their families in the Clear Lake area for over 30 years. In fact, my first clinical pediatric rotation was under Mary Basich (my Mentor) at TCTCI and I fell in love with the clinic philosophy. I am Board Certified in Pediatrics through AOTA, and I have advanced clinical training in sensory integration. I lead the Social Buddy groups and I always have fun hanging out with my buddies! I have been blessed to be married to Joe (for over 30 years), and I have two wonderful “adult” sons: Chris and Josh (TCTCI Theatre Director), and two super-cute dogs: Clara (TCTCI Therapy Dog) and Teddy Bear. I love animals, horseback riding, hiking in nature, traveling, and musical theatre. I enjoy traveling with my family to national parks, and my favorite places to travel were Alaska and Salzburg, Austria.
If I had a Superpower: I would chose the ability to fly. I could fly anywhere I want to go while getting my sensory input and defying gravity as I float on the air; of course with a few 360 spins just for fun!
My Favorite Sensory Activity: I am a sensory seeker so I love the “Helicopter Swing” and a Good Game of Bumper Cars!

Ms. Sonja
About Ms. Sonja: I have been working as an OT for 30 years. I love to travel!! I like traveling to Europe and anywhere there is nature and amazing food! I am blessed to have a wonderful family, which includes my husband Pete, son Zach and daughter Marissa. I also enjoy playing keyboards in my church worship band. I am training my dog Fia to hopefully become a therapy dog some day soon.
If I had a Superpower: I would choose teleportation!
My Favorite Sensory Activities Include: getting messy, like skating in shaving cream, and playing with mud or sand.

Ms. Mary
About Ms. Mary S: I have been an occupational therapist for three years and enjoyed working in pediatrics since the beginning. I love partnering with families to help kids connect and realize their potential! It is so fulfilling to see the proud smile when a child accomplishes something they never thought they could do. I believe in a holistic, family-centered approach and this led me to sensory OT and TCTCI.
I was born and grew up in Friendswood. I have been married to my husband, James, for 3 years, and we have 2 dogs (Theo and Bella). I love talking, interacting with, and learning about animals, especially dogs. One of my long term goals is to partner with dogs to provide therapy. In my free time, I love to research and learn about new things. I also love arts and crafts, and even have a whole room dedicated to them in my house!
If I had a Superpower: I would choose the powers of Violet from the Incredibles. Her powers seem like they would be really fun!
My Favorite Sensory Activity: Outside of the clinic, I love dancing for the movement and sound input. In the clinic, I love collaborating with our kiddos and designing and experiencing the movement from our obstacle courses!

Ms. Morgan - Lead OT
About Ms. Morgan: I completed my OT doctorate at a sensory based clinic and fell in love with sensory-based OT! My doctoral capstone focused on OT’s role in supporting the transition to adulthood for older kids/adolescents. I have been an OT with TCTCI for the past 3 years and have recently completed the STAR-Center Sensory Integration Level 1 Mentorship. I love working with children and their families on activities that are meaningful to them. I am originally from the Dallas area, but moved here with my husband who is completing his medical residency at UTMB. We have a cute pup named Moose. I love to travel, cook, hike, and read in my free time!
If I had a Superpower: I would have the ability to time travel!
My Favorite Sensory Activity: I love swinging and jumping on the trampoline!

Mr Brenden
About Mr. Brenden: I love sensory-based OT! I completed my OT doctoral internship at TCTCI with Ms. Sue and have been an OT at TCTCI for the past 2 years. The practice of occupational therapy is one of collaboration and hope and I am grateful that I get to partake in that with these wonderful children and see lives change!! I recently married my sweetheart Charis in July 2025! I personally enjoy reading and playing board games with my friends, but also taking time to enjoy the outdoors with fishing and sports.
If I had a Superpower: I would have telekinesis. I would love to live out my Star Wars dream and use the force!
My Favorite Sensory Activity: I love making creations with the kinetic sand and our rainbow room full of hammocks!

Ms. Sophia
About Ms. Sophia: I fell in love with occupational therapy after seeing how sensory based OT helped my younger brother to participate in daily life to his fullest potential. I completed my doctorate of occupational therapy at UTMB and solidified my passion for sensory based OT during my fieldwork rotation at a sensory based clinic in the Woodlands. I have been an OT at TCTCI for the past 2 years. My favorite part about being an occupational therapist is connecting with children and families as we work together to increase their participation in daily activities. Outside of OT I enjoy dirt bike riding, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
If I had a Superpower: I would choose to turn into any animal of my choosing especially an owl, snow leopard, or monkey.
My Favorite Sensory Activity: I love flying on the zipline and climbing in the rainbow room.

Ms. Alyssa
About Ms. Alyssa: For me, therapy begins with connection, the kind that grows when you truly know a child and see the world through their eyes. I follow their curiosity, weaving it into playful moments that nurture communication, social-emotional skills, and independence. One day we might be conquering an obstacle course, the next crafting something fun, or leaping into a pretend play adventure. No matter the activity, my favorite part is watching a child’s face light up when they feel understood and capable.
As a USC Sensory Integration, certified therapist, I have advanced training in helping children navigate sensory experiences so they can feel calm, regulated, and ready to explore their world.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me crafting, dressing up at a Ren faire, lost in a good book, plotting my next board game win, or enjoying the company of my four cats. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Tommy, for 13 years, and together we love traveling and dreaming up our next adventure!
If I Had a Superpower: I’d choose something like Hermione’s time-turner from Harry Potter, so I could revisit my favorite moments in life anytime I wanted.
My Favorite Sensory Activity: Getting messy, whether it’s with shaving cream, paint, or slime!

Ms. Marie
About Ms. Marie: I have been an occupational therapist for 20 years. I love kids and have worked with children in a variety of medical and educational settings. I have 3 “children” although they are adults living and studying in 3 wonderful cities across the U.S. Which is a good thing since I love to travel and explore different foods and culture, although Italy and anyplace with a beautiful lake or ocean is my favorite place to be.
If I had a Superpower: I would fly or zap myself to another location.
My favorite sensory activity: I also love discovering the different ways the clients and I can use the amazing equipment in the clinic to take us wherever our imagination goes.
